CWC draws on an extensive network of practitioners within the workforce development field who support CWC's activities. The training and technical assistance offered by CWC is conducted by a group of workforce development professionals, all of whom have extensive experience working in the areas of education, training, employment and non-profit management. The primary team is made up of the following individuals:
Ann Donner
Ann is currently serving as the CWC Manager. With more than 20 years experience managing strategic initiatives in the public, nonprofit and private sectors, Ann has held numerous leadership positions with government, civic, health care and business organizations. She is the former executive director of Move Massachusetts 2000 and of the Trust for City Hall Plaza and served on the Boston Employment Commission from 1991- 1996 overseeing the implementation of the Boston Residency Jobs Policy. Ann has worked with a variety of nonprofit organizations providing interim management; project management; program design and development support; partnership management; executive coaching as well as business and strategic planning.
Sarah Griffen
Sarah is the Founder of the Boston Health Care and Research Training Institute. The Institute provides training, education and support services for 300 incumbent workers and 100 community residents annually. Sarah has worked in the community development and anti-poverty field for 20 years. She was the co-chair of the Career Ladders Committee of the Boston Workforce Development Coalition. Sarah is a national consultant on organizational and workforce development issues with a focus on industry-based career ladder projects.
Roger Herzog
Roger is the Executive Director of CEDAC, Massachusetts' technical assistance provider to non-profit, community-based development organizations, and has been with the organization since 1999. Previously, he worked for the City of Cambridge Community Development Department and at Inquilinos Boricuas en Accion, Inc. as the Community Development Director. CEDAC provides administrative staff support to the CWC and overall management coordination.
Martha Oesch
Martha has over 15 years experience in the field of workforce development and adult basic education. She works as an independent consultant with organizations on the design and implementation of employment and training programs and the integration of ABE and workforce development, including curriculum development. Martha also provides training for practitioners in the areas of job readiness and career development. She is certified as a Career Development Facilitator Instructor through the National Career Development Association.
The Commonwealth Workforce Coalition is housed at the CEDAC office, One Center Plaza in downtown Boston. CEDAC is the fiscal and administrative agent for CWC.
