HRMA of Western New England/Commonwealth Workforce Coalition Network Breakfast
On March 26, 2012, staff from organizations from the CWC Western Mass Network and members of the Human Resources Management Association of Western New England came together at the Knights of the Castle in Chicopee to swap business cards, make new connections and share information. The theme of the meeting, “Workforce 2015: Where Will Your Talent Come From?” featured a panel of non-profit and private sector partnerships: Mass Rehabilitation Commission and New England Health, New England Farm Workers Council and Renaissance Manor, FutureWorks and C&S Wholesale Grocers and the Hampden County Sheriff’s Department and Springfield/Meredith. Panelists discussed the ways in which strong partnerships lead to a larger pool of pre-screened job applicants for employers, quality job placements and increased job retention.
This first-time forum for job developers, business account reps, case managers and others from the CWC Network to mingle with over 80 human resources representatives was made possible in part through the generous support of the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts. |

Regional Workforce Investment Profiles The Regional Workforce Investment Profiles details the state and federal resources in Massachusetts for the Commonwealth’s primary workforce development programs. This edition includes federal and state funds allocated to local workforce areas during state fiscal year 2010. The profiles are designed to answer key questions about our public workforce investments, including what the major sources and current levels of funding are for local workforce programs and what the historical trends and impact of these investments are for the population segments served by these programs. This report contains both statewide and regional profiles for the Commonwealth’s 16 designated workforce investment areas. The Regional Workforce Investment Profiles are produced with the cooperation of an interagency workgroup of state agencies, facilitated by Commonwealth Corporation, under the auspices of the State Workforce Investment Board and the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development. The State partner agencies provided the information on program resources and service levels.
