The Clinton Adult Learning Center is an adult basic education program offering GED preparation and English as a Second Language classes. The center serves individuals from Clinton and its surrounding towns. Students must be 16 years of age and withdrawn from high school if under 18 years of age. The program runs from September through May. Classes are offered on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 – 9:00pm and Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 – 12:00. Counseling, computer assisted learning, and small class sizes are offered. The program is also an Official GED Test Center. |

The Young Parents Program offers ABE, Pre GED, and GED prep for pregnant and parenting teens receiving TAFDC grants. Additionally, non TADC recipients may be income eligible. The program prepares the students for GED Testing or High School Diploma. The Springfield and Holyoke sites offer Spanish language instruction. The program offers extensive case management and distance learning. Additional services include computer skills development and upgrade, job readiness training, college or skills training placement. |

The Supported Work Program offers Job Readiness Training, Computer Skills development and upgrade, Academic Skills upgrade, GED preparation and testing, Supported Work, job placement, and Post Employment services to assist in job retention and upgrade. Current TAFDC recipients with an active cash grant are eligible. The program meets the DTA work requirement. Program is open Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Participants attend Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Participants are able to utilize CPM’s distance learning programs to continue skill development once employed. |

Title I Services provide intensive job development, education and training services for eligible participants. They include high school dropouts, people from a minority group or with a disability, people with limited English, displaced homemakers, single parents, homeless, low-income people, under-employed people, and people with limited marketable skills. Intensive Case Management Services, Academic and Career Counseling, Adult and Youth Training Programming are intended to serve citizens who are low-income and/or have other barriers to employment. This is not an entitlement program. You must be eligible and meet the requirements of the program. You have to be willing to provide all required documents that determine your eligibility. You may be asked to complete financial aid through the school. Most importantly, you will have to agree to become employed full-time once training is completed. The Title I program is funded entirely by a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor Workforce Investment Act. |

The Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission is the federal-state vocational rehabilitation program focused on assisting individuals with a severe disability(s) to become employed. The successful result of the MRC-VR program is employment in a job in the competitive labor market. Through the provision of vocational counseling, assessment, training/education, job placement and follow-up services, the MRC vocational rehabilitation counselors work one-on-one in a partnership with eligible individuals toward the successful achievement and retention of competitive employment according to that individual’s unique interests, aptitudes and abilities. MRC also provides vocational services to students with disabilities transitioning from high school to the world of work in close co-operation with the student, family and schools during transition planning. The MRC also provides services to employers including disability awareness training, ADA compliance, Work Opportunity Tax Credit consultation and work-site modification consultation. We can provide post employment services to assist a placed consumer in retention of their employment. |
